Lordy, lordy, lordy - who can describe Mrs Cakehead? Imagine a parallel universe where the best music exists in the most obscure of places instead of the famous big cities - If you were to swap Bacup for Kingstown, Jamaica then Mrs Cakehead would be an obscure Northwest of England equivalent of Lee Scratch Perry. He delivers his enormously witty and irreverent lyrics over a ragga/dub/reggae background in a characteristic Bacup lilt. |
|
Mrs Cakehead resides in Bacup, Lancashire, England and has enormous home recording skills, laying down tracks using tape recorders stuck together with tape. He was Drummer, singer and songwriter with cult band The Three Platitudes (pictured above on the right) and works as a recording engineer in Manchester.
Cakehead also has an album out on Pumf Records check it out at: http://www.pumf.net
